Ispahan(Esfahan)

The country's top tourist destination, for many reasons.
First one on my list, the bridges over the Zayandeh river, especially Pol-e Khaju. Picturesque at daylight, it becomes magical at night. Iranians have a very simple way of enjoying life. Sitting by the river, eating pumpkin seeds and speaking with family, or simply strolling with their beloved. I loved these moments walking among them and watching simple pleasures that seem to have been forgotten in our countries.
Second comes the Naqsh-e Jahan Square, a Unesco World Heritage site. The square and its blue-tiled minarets become glorious at night, when the locals come out to enjoy the pleasant temperatures near the fountains.
Third the Masjed-e Shah mosque and the six-storey palace Kakh-Ali Qapu.
Last but not least, the Bazar-e Bozorg, a huge and fascinating bazaar.

Shahrzad was the best restaurant in Iran. Their pomegranate and walnut stew is delicious!
